Amy Yao (b. 1977) has had solo exhibitions at venues including Matthew Gallery, Berlin, Germany; Paradise Garage, Venice, CA; 47 Canal, New York; Jack Hanley Gallery, New York; Night Gallery, Los Angeles. Her work has also been shown in group exhibitions at such institutions as Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; OHWOW, Miami Beach, FL; James Cohan Gallery, New York; PS1, New York; Swiss Institute, New York; White Columns, New York, Regina Gallery, London, UK, Gavin Brown’s Enterprise, New York; Portland Institute of Contemporary Art, Portland, OR. She recently co-curated the group exhibition Artificial Complexion at Various Small Fires (2014).
