The Luckman Gallery presents PAIN POINT SCHICHT

PAIN POINT SCHICHT
organized by Karin Mayr and Martin Sturm

On View: January 16 – March 12, 2016

Opening Reception: Saturday, January, 16, 6-8 pm.

Karin Mayr and Martin Sturm are a multimedia collaborative based out of Vienna, Austria who create projects that combine their artistic work with their curatorial practice. They developed this unique combination when they co-founded the artist-run-space project LOVE_ in Vienna, a composite of art and curation that counteracted the conventional showcasing of their work through an integrative approach to exhibition design. For their exhibition Pain Point Schicht at the Luckman Gallery, they will create a project that combines this unique blend of artistic creation and curation by working with a selection of European artists who work outside the normal exhibition circuit.

Featuring artists: Albert Allgaier, Cara Chan, Gabriele Edlbauer, Andrea Lüth, Karin Mayr, Noële Ody, Gerald Rossbacher, Martin Sturm, and Jakub Vrba.

This exhibition was funded in part by the generous support of the Austrian Consulate General Los Angeles, Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and The Government of Upper Austria.

Admission to the Luckman Gallery is free of charge.
